Rabbi Langer is using this opportunity to ask Giants fans, the people of San Francisco and beyond, to increase in acts of goodness and kindness to bring world peace.
The Baal Shem Tov, founder of the Hasidic mystical path of Judaism, while meditating in prayer entered the chamber of The Messiah in Heaven. He asked The Messiah, "When are you going to establish world peace here on Earth?" The Messiah responded, "When you spread your teachings to the four corners of the world." This is the charge that the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Scheerson, instilled in his followers. He instructed the Rally Rabbis to spread this message throughout their communities and the world, Jews and gentiles, to increase in acts of goodness and kindness to bring world peace.
We solute the World Champions, the San Francisco Giants, for their participation and putting a spot light on this message and bringing it to the people.
